Beta Phi House Corporation News

The date for Homecoming 2009 has been set for October 10.  We have arranged to have our 100th Beta Phi celebration banquet on that evening at the DoubleTree.  Our plans are moving right along!  As 2007 comes to a close, we all can certainly rejoice in the good news that keeps coming from Beta Phi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma.  The chapter currently has 46 initiated members and two new pledges.  They hope to add more during the recruitment period in the spring semester.  There will be about 33 young women living in the house during the spring semester.  The house capacity is currently 35.  In the near future, the House Board will confer with some architects to discuss ideas for re-doing the third floor to create livable space (for seniors only??) and still retain the historic designation of the house.  Stay tuned! The house is all decorated for Christmas, with a big tree in the front window, and looks great!

New Dining Room Chairs

The Beta Phi chapter has new dining room chairs!  Thanks to (names omitted)* for their time and efforts in finding and advancing the funds for the purchase of these beautiful chairs. Kappa alumnae now have the opportunity to dedicate one of these special chairs in memory or honor of a Beta Phi Kappa. The goal is to have each chair adorned with a plaque inscribed with the honored/memorialized member’s name and initiation date. We would love to have this beautiful display of names on the back of each chair by Beta Phi’s 100th anniversary celebration in 2009. You can purchase a chair and plaque with a minimum donation of $100 to the UM KKG Foundation. Please be sure to notify us with the honoree’s name (we will find her initiation date for you).  The plaque will say, “In Honor of” or “In Memory of (Name, Initiation Date)”.

Supporting Beta Phi

Every year the Beta Phi House Corporation is faced with increased maintenance and repair costs of our beautiful home. The continual support of our alumnae members and friends has allowed us to keep the chapter facility operating through the years. Beta Phi will graciously accept your tax-deductible donations through the University of Montana Foundation. The donation can be marked in the memo part of a check for Kappa Kappa Gamma Maintenance/Mortgage or Scholarship.

Kindly send donations to:
